Mont Saint Michel bay walk

3 hours

Moderate

3-hour hike starting from Mont Saint Michel

In a small group of about 30 people you will leave in the direction of Tombelaine. On the trip you will cross the Sée and Selune rivers as well as the Couesnon which was for a long time the natural border between Normandy and Brittany. The water height of the rivers varies according to the seasons and the tides from mid-thigh to knee. A minimum physical condition is required to do this type of hike. After 1 hour of walking you will arrive at Tombelaine Rock, a short break is planned on this island so that I can tell you about its history and legends. Then it's time to return to Mont Saint Michel and the discovery of the famous quicksand long awaited by young and old alike. Although it is primarily a hike, the bay crossing is accompanied by comments along the way, not to mention the contemplative side of the place...
